Looks like is part of many EDC ( every day carry) out there and everytime I see one I wonder how fast could I make one go… So I made one and spin it with hight pressure (350PSI) air and my tachimeter could’t measure how fast it could actually spin. In fact it only gets to 99.999 RPM so I got to guess was quite a bit more than that… I hope you liked this new segment of mine “cause I can”… I will show things I normally do without filming but I thought that if they are fun for me maybe they can be cool for you too…
Just CA Glue & Bearings! That’s all you need to make a fidget spinner. No tools required! If it breaks no problem just glue it back together. To extend the spinning time just put some bolt’s & nut’s in the outer bearings. If you want to take the fidgeting thing to another level you can take 4 bearings some copper wire and a soldering iron!

First a piece of bog oak is cut in half using a bandsaw. A 7 mm 9×6 cm sheet is then cut from both bog oak and maple pieces. 3D spinner model is made in rhinoceros.
3 mm flat end router bit on kuka kr150 robot is used to carve out the two pieces of yin yang symbol. Two slats are secured on robot table using hot glue. After milling, two pieces are glued together, sanded and polished first with steel wool and then with small buffing wheel.
Three ball bearings are cleaned from excess grease in solvent cleaning fluid. After drying, they are glued into holes using two component cyanoacrylate glue.
A pyramid (tetrahedron) fidget toy made from 2000 year old bog oak and aluminum.
First a 7x7x7cm piece of bog oak is cut from a larger block using a handsaw. One side is sanded and same sided triangle is marked on it. sides of triangle are 6 cm long. All excess material is roughly removed with chisel. Part is then glued onto robot table using hot glue. 3D model is made in rhinoceros.
4 mm flat end router bit on kuka kr150 robot is used to carve out each side of tetrahedron and two triangle aluminum parts from 1.5 mm thick aluminum sheet. After milling, all parts are sanded, and polished. Two switches are attached to aluminum triangles and glued to tetrahedron base with cyanoacrylate glue.
Ball bearing is cleaned from excess grease in solvent cleaning fluid. After drying, it is pushed onto side of tetrahedron with cylinder extrusion.
